Terms of use

Who we are

Dicteer is a product of WAMELINK (Dennis Wamelink), Herengracht 320, 1016 CE Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) 60225432. Send questions about these terms to info@dicteer.com.

What you get

Dicteer turns your voice into cleaned-up text, on iPhone and Mac. Dictating on your device itself (offline) is free. Dictating through the Dicteer speech service, including AI cleanup, needs a subscription or an invitation code (the latter only in the TestFlight test version). How your data is handled is in the privacy policy.

Subscription

Fair use

To keep the service affordable, there is a limit of 25 hours of dictation per month and 70 minutes per day. If you reach it, the app tells you and you can carry on later, or dictate offline. We may change these limits if needed, and will tell you before that takes effect.

What we ask of you

Mistakes in the text

Speech recognition and AI cleanup make mistakes. Always read what Dicteer inserts before you send it or rely on it. We can’t guarantee that the service is always available or error-free.

Liability

We aren’t liable for indirect loss, such as lost opportunities or damage caused by a mistake in a dictated text. Our liability for direct loss is limited to the amount you paid for Dicteer in the last 12 months. This doesn’t apply in case of intent or gross negligence, or to the extent the law doesn’t allow it. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Stopping

You can stop using Dicteer at any time. Abuse of the service can lead to us limiting or ending your access. We may also discontinue the service. If so, we’ll tell you in good time and work out a fair solution with you for the part of your paid period that was still running, such as a refund.

Changes

We may change these terms. For an important change, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. The date below shows when the terms were last changed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands. If you are a consumer, the mandatory rules of the country where you live still apply.
